At Hunter Farms, we've had 8 generations of family witness and be apart of the innovations of Canadian agriculture. In 2017, the Golden Horseshoe Food and Farming Alliance, with support from the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, made it possible for families who have been farming in the Golden Horseshoe for 150 years or more to be recognized.

 

Thanks to the hard work of our farm matriarch, Barbara Hunter, the Hunter Farms family was able to celebrate Canada's 150th year by being recognized for our dedication to the land and our history in agriculture.

2025 marked another milestone on the farm. We celebrated 70 years as a grower of Pioneer Seed through Reesors Seed & Grain. It was an honour to stand up during Pioneer's 100th Anniversary celebration in Toronto, ON (2026) for this achievement.
